Pager and PDW decoding

Hi everyone.
I run PDW on my PC, and I use the soundcard to decode.
I currently get anywhere from 95%-100% decode, but it's very up and down... I am after something more consistent.
However I have been given an old pager, and I wanted to know if it would decode better than the soundcard?
If so, is there a guide somewhere that I can follow?

95-100% and you want better?
What device are you using to supply the feed into the sound card? Scanner/Radio/SDR?
Got a discriminator tap fitted?
It's a bit hard to tell unless you advise of your current settings?

Yes, I publish the feed, so would prefer consistent decoding.
I just have a VHF scanner into the PC MIC input, via an AUX cord.

Ohhh, can of worms there.... I will leave that alone!

This seems the best quality that you will get given you current setup ... Source the un-deemp audio and how that helps

I use an SDR Dongle hooked up to an exterior VHF TV Antenna, which is pointing towards my closest transmitter. This works a treat.
