Bulk water tanker. Whisky is normally bulk foam tender. I'll see if I can find a Victor in one of my photos.

Victor is a tanker, mainly gets used at remote house fires, also comes with a tank so choppers can fill up off it.
I belive it has BA's on it too

We used it when a prescribed burn got out of hand at Closeburn last year to protect a house after the pool got emptied but weren't allowed to call it out a second time because it was too expensive so had to use Samfords rural tanker instead.....because it is free to use. And yes the big one at Caboolture is a Victor.

Thanks for the pics. Up here I've heard 235 Victor on the radio, not very often though. If its the one I'm thinking of its a 4x4 truck, looks like a rural appliance but in red and much bigger than a 51. I'll try to get a pic next time I see it.

Depends on the area 674V is a 4000ish litre tanker with ba's
others i have seen has been a milk truck converted into a tanker in northcoast region.

More often than not it is used as a water source for fires often house fires or boush fires.
and also some have water bladders for helitack operation.

Sorry to dig up an old thread,

I was listening to Firecom central and I heard a Zulu Zulu callsign. (Sorry I can't remember the station number)

Has anyone heard of a Zulu Zulu?

Was it Zulu Zulu 35 (for example? A two digit number afterwards??)

I think it may have been mate, station 35 is Rockhampton, which I think, is the main one for the central region.

ZZ is what gets used when an appliance is off the run. They either use ZZ or their fleet number.

Yeah I've never heard it. In Brisbane, South West and South East (not sure of the others), if a vehicle goes offline, they will simply use the fleet number. Ie 640M off the run suddenly becomes fleet 499 mobile to station 31 etc.
