Just guessing, but the frequency is probably on Mt Hopeful, about 40 km South of Rockhampton.

Hi guys, am I going blind or have the Ipswich frequencies disappeared from the list on P1?

Garry,

It appears you may be going blind, I suggest you visit an Optometrist as soon as possible :-p

Jokes aside, this information may have been lost a month ago when a Moderators' account was compromised. This issue has since been fix but unfortunately data that was deleted cannot be recovered. We have since been performing regular back-ups of Aussie Scanners to prevent this in future. I am sure if you ask your questions here there will be ample Members willing to help.

I copied the list before the problem happen - just a matter of checking the hard drive when i get home from work in half an hour. It always pays to copy lists on these forum sites as you never know when they might go belly up without warning or suffer a major database malfunction. It happens unfortunately ... I can recall a few well known sites in nsw disappearing without warning eg scannsw.

Was hearing what sounds like traffic related or spec ops (major MVA) on CH 38 in Cairns yesterday, but on first page listed as Ch 36? Typo or had it changed from 36 to 38?

36 is the site on top of Cairns station radio tower.

Are you sure it wasn't 38 simplex?

It seems that Ch 35 has been licensed to Springfield since February this year, and I believe that Ch 39, on Mt Perseverance, is intended to service the Lockyer Valley.

Just going back through the audio files on the scanner re QPS Ch 38, they are calling 'Mareeba' which might help out, so it's not an ops channel or simplex as far as I can tell?

According to the ACMA Database, Ch 38 is on Saddle Mountain, which is about 3 km from Kuranda, and about 16 km North West of Cairns CBD.

I wasn't aware of 35 being changed from the CBD to Springfield, thanks for that info. As Comint says below it's only new so that's my excuse

With existing licenced sites i have noted that law enforcement groups often change their locations around. The only way to keep on top of it is to regularly check ... Not easy to do if there is several hundred or even thousands under the client number. Much easier to follow new sites.
