Channel 14??

Post by Stretch »

Driving home this afternoon and heard BA5 (I think) on the radio asking if the police were on air. FC South East was mightily confused and in the end he had asked the QPS to go to channel 14 to liase regarding the ship fire in Brisbane. What's channel 14?? Is it a liason channel between the QAS, QFRS and QPS???

Ch 14 in the UHF Bandplan is a Firecom Channel, not to sure if QPS and QFRS liase via radio very often.

My understanding from memory was that ch14 on the UHF band was the liaison channel.

Never heard of that one.

As far as I am aware, the Simplex Liaison Channel, is QPS UHF Channel 65, which equates to UHF Channel 90, for the QAS, QFRS, and SES.

Had thought of that, but can't find any mention of it being licensed for the Brisbane area.
