firmware update

I just did a firmware update and the pdf says to push F then 7 and use the down key then select sys update.WRONG you use the up key.
The pdf also stated that all memories and settings would be gone after the update.Not true again.My radio just continued scanning after the update.

some of the early updates did do a format of the scanner and you lost everything, but the new updates keeps everything there now. I guess they still keep the warning there to protect them.

how do i add another bank to scan plz.?I can only scan bank 0 at the moment
I am using the AR-DV1 Pro software

I just do it via the software program, the manual I would assume on how to do it but will have to read it up and give it a try. remember the radio is a receiver and not a scanner.

Someone on the radioreference site says that a new update is due but i havent seen anything yet.I have trouble accessing the site,something to do with barstard google and also some cloud link.
