Tecsun PL 365

Post by AIRMAN »

A nice Christmas present from my wife. I thought it was a scanner at first until I discovered it was a LW/SW/MW & FM receiver.

Listened to it on MW with the TAP antenna and it hauls in interstate stations at night. SW seems lively enough. RNZ and Madrid without wire.

The box has batteries, earbuds and a length of wire to clip on the antenna. For SW.

PL 365 has ETM (easy tuning mode). Not sure if I like it yet. I'm old school. USB was deaf as I can't recall any of the active aviation frequencies, plus I don't think they are used much anymore??

Reasonably priced general purpose receiver from Tecsun. :)

Try 8867kHz & 13261kHz upper sideband for international flights over the Pacific.

There is also some domestic traffic on HF - see link.
