"Fond" memories of 10 "fun" weeks here. I did my recruit course here in 1988. It was the training station for Brisbane MFB before Lytton Training Centre opened. Lytton is now closed having been replaced by Whyte Island.

In those days the operational crew ran an Acco pumper and there was also an old left hand drive Mack with a wheeled escape stored there for the Fire Brigade Historical Society. We had three Acco's in the backyard for training. They were so old that only one would pump water and we had to take turns in using it to actually do drill using water.
