Hi troops.
I have the software ( CS-400PRO #11 Rev 1.2 ) which I have used to access my older 40 channel Icom 400Pro's to input my private frequency as well as some other local Rx frequencies.
I have recently purchased another two 400Pro's with 80 channels but the mentioned software does not appear to work on these two new radios.
Question: Is there a difference in CS 400Pro -v- IC 400Pro?
Is there different software for the two or should the old CS...Rev 1.2 work on the new radios too?
I need to put my private frequency and the other Rx frequencies into the two new radios.
If there is a difference in the software, where can I find it. I have searched this forum without success.
cheers
Cal

Re: IC & CS 400pro
I don't own any 400 Pro's, but from past experience with ICOM software, the newer radios will need updated software to be able to handle the 80 channels. It is not just a simple matter of adding the extra 40 channels, the radio's synthesiser also has to be able to handle the different channel spacing, so the programming software will be different.Cal007 wrote:Hi troops.

Re: IC & CS 400pro
CS-400 is the software the IC stands for Icom and then the model number

Re: IC & CS 400pro
Hi, I'm a new 400pro owner new to uhf radio and new to this forum! Looking forward to getting to know my radio better and my fellow pro owners. The above information will come in very handy when my programming cable finally arrives. Thank you!
