Simoco srm 9000 selcall

Post by Luke_g »

Hi all,

I am trying to set up my simoco 9030plus so I can free dial selcall and activate my mates radio, and so he can do the same. I have initiated the free dial via the software, but when I send the selcall it doesn't activate his radio. Any ideas??

???, the selcall option it fairly new to me.... So for me it's trial and error atm. Would anyone have instructions on basic selcall setup?

When I was setting up another radio (it should generally be the same for most radios) I used CCIR with a speed of 40ms and it worked. See what you've got currently programmed using the software and go from there...

Of course, also make sure your mates radio is set up the same...

I'm no expert on the subject but what I tried worked well so I was happy :)

Selcall tab (Pink S) set all Tonesets as CML_CCIR
Tone Duration 0(ms) = 40
Repeat Tone = E
Group Tone = A
Reset Tone = C

Decodes Tab (Envelope)
Mask 001 = IIIII (5 x letter I for India)
Duration = 00000 (Tone speed of 40ms)
Mask 002 of ##### will decode and display selcall numbers on the screen and save them in missed calls (Menu Function).

Make sure the "Selcall Enabled" box is ticked and the correct encode (Duration 0) is used for each channel where you want the selcall to work.

See if that helps.
