Tait T2000 UHF

Post by GME Man »

Hi there, a friend offered me a Tait T2000 uhf radio. I just wanted to know if it is Australian approved to use on the standard 80 CB channels before I go ahead and purchase it then find out that it is illegal to use here.

Thanks

Good Morning, The Tait T2000 is not approved as a UHF CB. However there are lots of them about that are programmed with UHF CB. Some at 5 watts output and some at 25 watts output. With a bit of research I am sure that you will find a list that has the radios that conform to the UHF CB type approval. Regards Yipyip
