Hi
I have a 72xlt dedicated to pager reception (I also have a 396). My 72 does not charge batteries any more. I have confirmed that with the charger AC pack plugged in (which tests OK at 6V) there is no voltage at the battery lugs. There is no continuity between the inside connector on the charger jack and the positive battery lug. Any ideas or where can I get a schematic? Voltage regulator? Protection diode? Anyone had this problem?

Re: Uniden 72XLT charging problem
G'day, give the switch in the battery compartment a spray with contact cleaner or CRC 2.26.
I had a similar problem once.

Thanks for that. I should have mentioned that I have checked the switch OK!
