G'day folks.
Just got myself an eBay special BC898T and am chasing the programming software.
Does anybody have it or can anyone point me in the right direction before I cough-up $40 for a download?

Have you tried the demo version of ARC898 first?
EDIT: I have noted that ScanCat-lite advertises support for the 898T (amongst others) so at least you can use it with more than one type/brand, they have a functional download available HERE and it's still less than $40.00.
Alternatively you may like the price/features/flexibility of ScanControl V7.1
