CS-F50V version - **FOUND SOFTWARE!**

Post by kmrt-paul »

Hi all from the snowy hills of Kinder Scout over in the UK.

My Mountain Rescue Team (for whom I am the radio/comms officer) here have just taken delivery of some nice new IC-F51V handies, ready for use with some new GPS tracking enabled microphones.

Problem I have (and I think it's caught a few people out) is that my existing CS-F50 software will not talk to these new radios :-( - we suspected the "V" version might be slightly different, and it proves to be the case.

Would any of you knowledgeable people out there know where I might be able to get hold of the required CS-F50V version please?

Many thanks,
Paul.

Hi again ... Just a quick update ... Managed to find the software required, and an up to date version at that too!

Can be found at: http://www.4shared.com/rar/M9vho07_/icom_CS-f50v.html

Now busy sticking all our MR channels onto shiny new radio ... oh but it takes a while when you can't just import from the old IC-F50 radio.

Hey ho - at least I can sit and watch all this snow falling whilst I do it :-)

Happy days,
Paul.

That link appears to be working fine! From the page that comes up, look for the "download" button near the top on the left-hand side.

Good luck.

Thanks Tubby

Software is no longer available via this forum
As for what links are outside this forum, it becomes uncontrolled and therefore - user beware (like most things on the internet)

At the time of the original posting, the details WERE correct AND you did NOT need to register with the 4shared site!

It was NOT posted as spam - I know this as it was myself who posted it!

Don't be so quick to start declaring someone has posted spam nearly 10 months after the original post when it's probable the software has been removed from 4shared during that time.

Intention was good to provide the information for the benefit of others.
