CS-F50

Post by artic »

Does anyone have a copy of the latest CS-F50 software?

I purchased the usb programming cables OPC-966 for my ICOM IC-F51V, but I thought the software
would come with the cable, which it didn't:-(

Thanks.

Hi there,

Probably not the latest but you could try PM Brisbanescan regarding his post here http://www.aussiescanners.com/forum/vie ... 265&t=3924

Thanks:-)

I got the software run (Windows 7), but I can not get any responce from the radio. Just comes up with
error message saying that it can not connect to the radio.

The reason why I want to program my radio is that the only channels available by scrolling through them with
the arrow buttons are 6, 8, 12, 16, 68, 69 and 72. I need to change this so that I can have all channels available.
Is it possible to do this without using the CS-F50 software and link cable?

Has anyone connected to and re-programmed an ICOM IC-F51V (VHF) before?

Is it supposed to give any tone alarm or show anything in the display when you connect the link cable? On mine it doesn't do anything. Just powers up as normal.

Figured it out:-)

Couldn't use the CS-F50 software, had to use a different version called CS-F50V.
Guess the CS-F50 is for UHF radios and the V version for VHF radios, like mine?

Here's a link to it if anyone else needs it:

no the CS-F50 will work on both the VHF and UHF radio however there are different versions of radio

IC-F50
IC-F50V (Vibrate)
IC-F50MDC

all of these versions require different software to program them.

Hi All,
First time poster here. From the snowy mountains, NSW
I was reading through your posts and seem to have a unique problem. I have both the IC-F60 and IC-F60V radios. My IC-F60V radio can be programed with the CS-F50V Rev 3.1 no problems. The older IC-F60 I am using the CS-F50 software and have tried Rev 1.4, 1.7 and 2.1 with no luck. I get an error message "Connected tranciever is not a compatible model" check appropriate cloning software is being used and revision number of the tranciever.

As far as i can tell the CS-F50 is the correct cloning software for the IC-F60. Has anyone had this problem in the past or know a solution.

Thanks.

Mate,
I am having the exact same problem as you have outlined above and was wondering whether you ever had a resolution to it... I would be intersted in discussing it with you if you have worked it out..
Thankyou kindly

Also having the exact same issue. Have tried software versions 1.5 and 2.1 and neither seem to work or even see the tranceiver for that matter. Haven't been able to find 1.7. Although, confidence is not high that the results would be any different.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same problem. Did any of you find a solution?

When I turn on the radio while pressing up + P3, it says "revision 2.3". I'm guessing that's the firmware version. The latest version of CS-F50 I could find a reference to is version 2.1.

How can I tell what version of the radio. Mine says "IC-F50" on the back under the battery. Could it still be a IC-F50 or IC-F50MDC?

EDIT:
Someone suggested to me that it could be because I use an after market programming cable (USB). I have a hard time believing that. Are you guys using a similar cable, or the OEM cable?

I figured it out. Even though my radio says IC-F50 on the back, I needed the IC-F50MDC software. I found it here:

Good Morning guys
just introducing ive been following the forums for agees about time i actually spoke.
im watching the forums on programming the icom f60v, firstly i dont see the software on the page, i do see lots of links but they dont lead any where.
also i have about 4 different versions of the software and ive programmed a few radios to my needs.
But as is normal a freind has asked me to program a radio for him but I cant get it to connect to read it.
Is the software dependant on serial number or the last software used on that radio.

thankd in advance.
cheers :D

Welcome to the forum.
Interesting first post. Unfortunately you won't find software on this forum.
I would suggest that the software version maybe linked to the firmware version on the radio?
