Hi guys, I am thinking of buying a Motorola GM950 commercial uhf/vhf radio. Does anyone have one that knows what they are like.

What are you wanting to do with such radio?
Which particular band are you looking at?

Why not purchase a scanner then you can listen to a lot more than the preset frequencies in the radio?

Do you have the software?

Do you have a programming cable?

Do you know how to program such a unit?

Is it the right band?

And finally have a licence?

As Phantom said, buy a scanner.

It is illegal to have a transmitter without a licence, permit or authority. As has been told to you, buy a scanner.
