BNC ANTENNA FOR CAR
I am looking for a bnc antenna for the car not a permanent mount. I saw on ebay you can buy the bnc gps antenna. Will that work with the Ubc93xlt?

You won't hear much with an antenna like that. Look for a good performing antenna and don't worry about the connection. That can be easily changed.

You need to be careful of the type of antenna you get also. For instance, I have a number of receivers at my disposal and my rolls royce being the AR8200 really does not like driving around Brisbane with a 5.5db gain stainless UHF connected to it. However, if i just connect a 1/4 wave UHF portable antenna it begins showing me some real loving again. Get into a country region though with less interference and it works a treat without even requiring the attentuator to be on.

What kind of vehicle is it for if you don't mind me asking? have you considered a dual output converter to allow use of the car's AM/FM antenna for scanning as well? like THIS or how about an on-glass dedicated scanning antenna?

GPS antennas are not BNC, they are normally SMA.
Why dont you try a on glass antenna, easy to install, uninstall and work ok.
