RADIO WON'T FIT!!!!!!

Hi, just recently got my bcd996xt scanner and IT WON'T FIT in my VT commodore DIN!!!!!!!!!
i think the only way i'm gonna get it in there is take the case off it and do a makeshift cover somehow :o
Any ideas? i really want it in the din slot but it wont fit by about 3 BLOODY mm

I think you need to take the outer black case off and there is a bracket that it goes into.

NOTE TO SELF, and anyone else for that matter, i removed 4 screws from the black case of the scanner, removed the case and the unit is still sealed with a metal case!!!! WOOOOHOOOOOO, fits now.

Page 35 of the manual says it all and there's even a pic about it.

Hey mate, how is the scanner anyhow? what kind of aerial are you using on it?
