I've taken a few shots of those "hidden" antennas that you may just walk past in the street (blink and miss), not the best quality but she'll do for now. :)
if you look at the last one there is also a tiny little antenna on the coke machine aswell

No I don't think so.
Once when I was getting some cash out from a ATM one day did have a good look at the antenna, they are 800MHz antennas. So maybe they also phone home and say "I need more $$$$$ in me" or "I'm being broken into" etc.

I'm pretty sure those signs would be UHF or 800MHz, the digital signs probably are remote controlled. I have seen yagis going to the clocks at NSW train stations, so every station displays the same time. Have to take a few photos next time.

I noticed 3 new 800MHz antennas installed onto a residential sub station. One antenna has been broken off by some tool and the other two now have a horizontal polarization.

I find it pretty interesting looking at antennas on those sorts of things.

what they are is GPRS and GSM antennas, most of the equipment you have taken pics of uses these devices, they run a GPRS device that sends packets of data...also used for dialer backup on a security system...like that ATM...ive done a heap of installs on that gear!

good catch there ... those traffic signs in melb on occasions use the uhf cb band ..... the traffic cams in melb are all "wire less " from what i have been told ,

it always amazes be were RF pop's up some times were you least expect it

just on a side not be care full when taking "antenna" photos , i was once questioned by local boys in blue
in relation to terrorist activity's when taking photo's of our local antenna farm

it all turned out alright and we had a good laugh about it , but this was coursed by a resident beside the antenna farm being scared of me walking around taking photos of the said place , who then rang 000 and reported me , i was then picked up on the way home , and given the once over , i polity but jokingly told the man in blue , that he "was dreaming " and explained why i was taking the shots , he then registered after seeing my antenna riddled car and had a small chuckle apologized for wasting my time and offered me a good day , until he either retired or left the area he used to give me a wave , every time he saw me ...

i still take photos of "radio porn " but i just be aware of my surroundings and the locals as well
