QAS - land cruiser paramedic

Don't know how new these are , but for anyone who hasn't seen them.

Maybe they need to find some "new" ambulances

what station was it getting delivered too ?

I know there is one of these stationed at Millmerran at the moment. As I understand, the main reason that the Land Cruiser went there is they missed out on the first 2 consignments of the 2 stretcher Sprinters. The next consignment of the sprinters they can get their hands on is late in the year.

Was talking to an officer about these units, and they said the difference between the technology in the F350 and the Cruiser is like chalk and cheese.

These units are approximately 3m tall, so there is a lot of weight mounted fairly high.

getting delivered to jandowae QAS, F350 and old landcruiser replaced withthis and sprinter double stretcher unit. didn't catch the unit numbers. I believe they are getting delivered in this region at the moment , seen about 6 on tow trucks

I seen 3 of these cruiser ambos on a truck heading north past Bowen, North Queensland....i assume they are heading up to areas that a common to 4wd access........only assuming though......

Saw a couple on tow trucks the other day, 2 or 3 out the back of QAS Fairview in Toowoomba West

I've seen over 4 trucks with ambulances in Toowoomba alone

I've seen a couple out around Blackwater and Emerald. What I found interesting was once when I was in Blackwater the ambo driving had orange highvis QAS uniform and the cruiser was fitted with orange mine spec lights as well as the red and blues. I thought it also had a CAS-RF unit fitted, but it could have been something else. At first I thought it might have been a site paramedic or first responder, but the uniform and ambulance was fitted with QAS emblems.
