New Fleetcoms site

Post by rooster »

I have come across what I think is a new Fleetcoms site which I can't find listed on any of the usual lists (or ACMA for that matter).

Site 5529

CC 416.3625 (LCN 64)

Only two voice channels so far,
LCN 24 415.8625
LCN 144 417.3625

It is coming up with peers of:
5519 Radar Hill
5511 Black Mtn
5501 Mt Mothar

So given this I think it is up around the top end of the Sunshine Coast / Cooloola area.

Anyone got any info on it?

Some years ago, 5529 came up as a peer on a few other Sites, and showed as having a CC of 416.3250 (LCN 61).

I was never able to find the 5529 Site.

Peers generally show up in Vote Now Advice messages, but are also in Announce Control Channel messages which it seems Fleetcoms no longer broadcast.

I will try and track down where it is, I am thinking it might possibly be Noosa Hill or Coolum but will have to do a bit of checking...

I think I have solved where 5529 now lives, Noosa Heads. See;

http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/site_ ... E_ID=16129

Interesting emission designators for the freqs for it too!

Might be an indication of things to come. Maybe another Ann St.

Yeah, it did cross my mind. Definately will keep an ear on it though. At the moment though it is operating just like another Fleetcom site...(with the exception of a slightly different sounding cc noise to all other sites)

It is interesting that 415.8625 (Lic No 44739) used to be at Ocean View, and they just seem to have moved it, but the other frequencies are newly licensed (2013 Feb 15).
