Dual System Control channel?????

Post by smythie »

Hi, i have an MPT1327 SMR site at my location. I am using trunkview and a UBC780XLT to track the system. The control channel is 164.975 MHz. We also have a new system called RAVNET using the same band and according to trunkview the same control channel. the single voice frequency for local ravnet is 165.275. I have searched the ACMA database and band scanned on my scanner, the only CC i can find here locally is 164.975. when i put TV on 165.275 and wait for a return to cc command it sends the scanner back to 164.975, fine, that's good BUT, when the CC sends a GOTO for ravnet it sends to the wrong frequency, 165.8875. i have monitored 165.275 on another radio at the same time and when the CC sends the goto, the other radio fires up with voice on 165.275 but my trunk tracker gets sent to 165.8875!!

I would like to either:

1. find out how to send RAVNET to the right voice frequency (165.275 INSTEAD OF 165.8875) OR
2. how to block RAVNET commands from this control channel.

Thanks for any input.

What GoTo Channel does TrunkView show when you get sent to the wrong frequency.

Are you using a Custom Band Plan with TrunkView.

What is the SysID of the Site.

OK. The SMR requires a Custom Band Plan because the channel numbers don't follow the frequencies in a logical order. Channels 1 to 251 go from 164.0625 to 165.1875 in 12.5 kHz Steps, and then 165.2000 is Ch 301, and the Channels progress up from there, to Ch 364, which is 165.9875 MHz.

Download the attached Text file - SMR_5b49.txt - and rename it SMR.tvp and place it in the Profiles sub-Folder in the TrunkView Folder.

The 5b49 Site Name will have to start with SMR, for the Profile to work.
