Thanks Phil. Are the freqs in ascending LCN order? Alex
As Phil pointed out, the Channel Numbers and Home Channels are unknown at this time.

And as the Site is LOW powered (5 Watts or less) it is not likely to be heard much more than a couple of hundred metres from the Stadium (well, maybe up to 1000 metres).

With most Trunked Radio Sites, I prefer to post the actual Site location (as well as the nearby Town name) so that people know where, and in what direction, the actual Site is from the Town or City.

For example:
Mt Watalgan is the Biscom Site near Bundaberg, but it is actually over 40 Km North West of the City, so might be a bit hard to receive a usable signal on a hand held with a 'rubber duckie'.

And from memory, Mt Ghrooman Bille is about 20 Km roughly due West of Gympie.

just so we all know. was having a chat to Motorola Solutions who manages the Motorola Zeon Digital network and the old Smartnet system. they decided to turn off the old 183A as they have a perfectly working system Zeon Digital. Many employees from Motorola are still against the idea

Back in 2006 when i was holidaying at Surfers Paradise there was a low-powered 5 watt MPT1327 two channel trunking system operating off the Q1 Tower, presumably supporting housekeeping etc. Voice is normally on the other frequency to the control channel which alternates. Is it still active?- the ACMA seems to suggest this is a possibility. Frequencies 462.525 and 462.925.

Grant

PS There is a similar setup at Sydney's Quay Apartments at Circular Quay - low-power 5w 2 channel - still going 5-6 years after installation

I just found the Trunking Tutorial today (thanks Shane & Phillip!)
I have a T9 and no idea where to start, until now.
The frequencies shown in the tutorial are for Mt Coot-tha. I entered them into the T9 but (as I expected) I hear nothing
up here on the Sunshine Coast.
I have heard random trunking freq's when I have the 73xlt (in the car) set to close call. Usually a one-sided conversation with a unique-sounding digital screech at the end of the transmission.

Does anyone know any Sunshine Coast frequencies?
:?:
Basically all the frequencies are at the top of this list. There is NO Motorola Smartnet in the Sunshine Coast area. But I have certainly monitored Mt Coot-tha, Bulwer Island and Pinkenba from the Montville area.

The last time I looked, places like Wilkes Knob and Mt Boulder, were in the Sunshine Coast area.

I know this is an old thread but I didn't want to create a new one unless this is off topic. I am wanting to start getting into trunking and I am quite confused. I have found trunking frequencies on here as well as Radio Reference but I am unsure how to translate that into my scanner (Uniden 396XT)

@Scannersplitterguy The tutorial that you mentioned is that "http://goo.gl/MTuyWK" I have not read that as at face value seems to be device specific and I was hoping I could find something that would be software specific say Freescan or Proscan. What trunking networks do you listen to on the Coast?

Hope someone is able to help or point me in the direction of a get started guide into trunking. As I said with the quick search I have done they all seem to be device specific.

Thanks
Brent
Sold my Uniden 93XLT and now using Uniden 396XT
