WAYPOINTS

Post by AIRMAN »

Anyone know where I can find a map showing approximate locations of aeronautical terrestrial waypoints in QLD and adjacent Oceanic WP?

I hear aircraft report position and estimated time at next WP, but I don't know where the WP is located.

SMOKA is one I heard and SAVER I think is Oceanic.

Yesterday I heard a female at BNE CNTR giving out WX details in "area 41" :?:

The Airservices Australia publication, Enroute Supplement Australia (ERSA), which I have mentioned previously on these forums, list the IFR waypoints.

SAVER is at 27 31.2 South 154 03.6 East

SMOKA is at 26 52.5 South 152 37.9 East

Note the decimal minutes, instead of seconds.
