FM 900 SERVICE AND REPAIRS

Post by Brian1108 »

Can anyone tell me if there is someone that could repair and service the old FM900's on the northside of Brisbane.

What seems to be the problem with your 900?

I have 2 units here.
One of the problems is, When turning the unit on the led numbers will light up solid "88" for about 10 sec and then the unit turns off.
2nd unit will not power on at all.
Thanks,
Brian

They are "ancient technology", and I doubt if Amateur Radio Operators would even touch them nowadays.

From memory, the "88" indicates there is NO Eprom, or the Eprom is faulty.

The ham at work says nobody is touching them, they are just binning them. Not even keeping them for spares.
