Carrying radios while out and about

Hi all,
I am sure this is a subject that rings true with a lot of radio type people, when out and about how do you carry your radios and other accessories?

With the warmer weather just starting down this end of the world I will be taking my radio hobby and radios out portable a lot more, this means finding a good way to carry them. I have used "Pelican" type hard cases in the past and also digital camera bags and normal back packs. These all have advantages and disadvantages in each case. Does any specialist or custom radio carry gear exist?
