satellite images

Link us to your favorite websites, they don't just have to be radio related however they must be legal (games, news, radios, hobbies are ok)

satellite images

Post by anindity »

How often are Google Earth Satellite images updated? I was looking at satellite images of my city (Toronto, Ont.) and noticed that the images are out of date by as much as two years. How often does Google update the images?

About 2-3 years. Have you had a look at near map? That's updated every 2-3 months here in OZ anyway

Depends on the area and operational issues, also depends on what the most searches are will also depend on how old it will be. similar with Near Maps the further out images are done from Sat but the closer images are done with a camera mounted to a plane.

Near Maps now requires subscription to work. Their free service has ended. From memory, the subscription was about $8,500 for Australia wide coverage for 1-5 users.

They are based over in WA
