F/Valley high rise fire

Post by rapps_101 »

I've just seen on CH10 news that there's a large fire on the top floor of Cathedral SQ in the Valley. I'm now listening to the scanner but no decent strep given since I've been listening. I suppose all Comms will be handled via 501T
Currently have: Simoco SRM9000 (TU), Yaesu FT65, GME XRS370, GME TX6155 x 2, Icom IC400 Pro x 2, Icom IC41 Pro x 3

Strep from 501T

G block has been cleared. Individual room numbers are being provided separately as they are searched. Unfortunately I'm way too far out to hear the fireground channel myself :(

509A is there also

1841 - Seems there are issues with multiple aerial appliances - 501T asked Firecom for ETA for mechanic to fix "aerial appliances".

1849 591A now on the run and en route to fire ground. This is 3 station replacement B shift crew. Obviously the start of trying to change crews over.. which will be a lengthy exercise...

1853 850P Proceeding to fire ground

interesting to see how effective the roof monitor is alongside the aerial appliance in the Youtube clip in the posting above this, although you can't see the appliance from the video clip.
Its actually 503A - see :

I always ponder how this would go down elsewhere in the state as all the aerials are "ghost manned"
